The capital city of the Czech Republic is considered one of the most beautiful towns in Europe. The historic core of Prague was placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is reserved for pedestrians only. A really enjoyable sightseeing can mostly be done by walk. Most interesting sites :

The Prague Castle is the ancient residence of Czech kings, today the official seat of the Czech president. Among the monumental buildings worth attention are the St Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, the St George’s Basilika and the Golden Lane.

The Old Town spreads around the Old Town Square, historically the most important place in Prague. Its dominant features are the Old Town Hall with the Astronomical Clock, the St Nicholas Church and the Church of Our Lady before Tyn.

The New Town is the commercial heart of Prague with Wenceslas Square, Charles Square and the New Town Hall, National Theatre and The State Opera houses well as numerous churches.

The Jewish Quarter reminds its visitors of the medieval ghetto with the Jewish Museum, the Old Jewish Cemetery and some of the oldest synagogues in Europe.

The Lesser Town is a picturesque district below the Prague Castle known by its narrow streets, neat cafés, ancient aristocratic palaces, a number of convents and churches.
